1) Dal Lake, Kashmir

Dal lake is in Kashmir. The urban lake, which is the second largest in Kashmir and is named “The jewel in the crown of Kashmir” or “The Jewel of Srinagar”. The mirror-like Dal Lake reflects the snow-dusted peaks of the Pir Panjal mountains while the colorful shikaras (gondolas) float around.

May to November is the best time to visit Dal Lake as the climate is pleasant. In winter it is extremely cold.

2) Pangong Lake (Pangong Tso)

Pangong Lake (Pangong Tso) is the most popular tourist attraction in Ladakh. Located at a height of 14000 feet, A fascinating feature about this lake is that its color is constantly changing. It changes colors from azure to light blue to green and grey too. 

It appears like a Sapphire hidden in the Himalayan mountain ranges.
