1. Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh Fort, located in Jodhpur Rajshthan, is one of the most beautiful and largest forts in India.
Fort was built in around 1459 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet (125 m) above the city. The name Mehrangarh is derived from a combination of two Sanskrit words 'Mihir' meaning the sun god and 'Garh' means fort. 2. Amer Fort
The Amer Fort, situated in Amber, 11 kilometers from Jaipur, is one of the most famous forts of Rajasthan. A fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. Amer Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a part of the “Hill Forts of Rajasthan” cluster. famous for its endearing mirror work, the fort and its history come alive with the evening light and sound show. 3. Chittorgarh Fort
The erstwhile capita; of Mewar, The Chittorgarh Fort is not only the pride of Chittorgarh and India but is also declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. The fort complex comprises seven gates, two towers, and 65 structures. 5. Jaisalmer Fort

8. Nahargarh Fort
Nahargarh Fort is one such majestic and magnificent fort, situated in the Aravalli mountain ranges in Jaipur. Nahargarh mean ‘abode of tigers’. Legend says that the fort was named as Nahargarh after the spirt of a Rathore, Nahar Singh. The Fort has an amazing view. Earlier it was a lonely place with magnificent structures and a few places to eat. But now the fort is bustling with noise due to the recent opening of the glass palace and wax museum.

The best time to visit is during winter when the weather is pleasant. And Nahargarh is best visited during the day. The fort forms a perfect location to spend an entire day.
You can also couple it with the other two forts nearby, Amer and Jaigharh.
It is advisable to first visit Nahargarh fort. You can spend the morning there and have lunch there. There after you can move to Jaigarh which is only a KM from Nahargarh.
